Project goal:
The client requested to calculate equipment to replace the existing heating system based on an electric boiler, since the electricity consumption was quite significant and expensive, given the constant rise in prices for utilities.
Implementation:
Weighing all the indicators of a given object: square, insulation, temperature features of the area, placement of the boiler room in the house and height differences, it was decided to install an inverter heat pump Raymer RAY-18DS1-EVI, which will be able to provide heat for a given heating area, works even at very low temperatures up to -30 degrees and does not lose its power when it fluctuates, and also integrates well with an existing heating system, so there is no need to remove the electric boiler, which will remain a backup heating source in case of heat pump maintenance.
Stages of work execution
1. Selection of equipment taking into account the climatic conditions of the area
Considering, that the climate in the Kyiv region has become quite moderate recently, but sometimes the temperature can reach below -20°C, it was decided to install a Raymer RAY-18DS1 EVI heat pump, which, thanks to inverter technology, easily adapts its operation to weather conditions and is able to operate at temperatures of -30°C.
The house is still under construction, therefore, good insulation with foam plastic is planned, what would be even better at keeping the house warm?, reduce the need to run the heat pump at maximum speed all the time.
2. Outdoor unit installation
During installation, the location for the outdoor unit was carefully thought out for its normal functioning., since an open place with good access to air is required.
The high protection class of all elements allows the unit to withstand a variety of weather conditions without compromising performance, so it was decided to install the block in the yard of the house.
The outdoor unit was installed on a metal stand, which guarantees the stability of the entire structure. The stand is created in this way, to support the weight of the unit and provide a secure fit when the compressor and fans are running.
To reduce vibrations, which may occur during compressor and fan operation, the outdoor unit was additionally equipped with anti-vibration supports, which help reduce noise levels and reduce vibration levels on the part.
The length of the freon line with turns is about 4-5 meters, which ensures optimal connection between the external unit and the internal components of the system. The height difference is taken into account with all technical recommendations from the factory.
3. Installation of the indoor unit
The indoor unit of the Raymer RAY-18DS1 EVI heat pump was installed in the boiler room of the house near the electric boiler, to make it easier to cut into already laid pipes. Thanks to its compact indoor placement, managed to save space and ensure optimal air circulation.
The piping system was connected in accordance with all standards and with insulation of connections, to avoid coolant leakage, which can damage the equipment.
All connections have been carefully checked for leaks, which ensures stable operation of the system.
The hydraulic module was connected to the DHW tank with separate connections, to ensure direct circulation of water between them.
4. Installation of expansion tank
So, How will this system work without a storage tank?, it was decided to install an additional expansion tank on 20 l for discharging excess water from the system when it is heated, so as not to create excessive pressure, which could damage the integrity of all connections.
5. Hot water connection
A Raymer DHWP 300L indirect heating tank has been integrated into the system to provide hot water supply. This stainless steel tank provides high performance and reliability, making it an excellent choice for household needs.
Tank volume is 300 liters, which provides enough hot water for a large family. It is made of stainless steel, which guarantees long service life and corrosion resistance. Internal heat exchanger ensures efficient water heating, allowing you to quickly reach the desired temperature.
Tank installed on the floor, allowing easy access for maintenance and inspection. All connections are properly insulated, which helps reduce heat loss and increases the energy efficiency of the system.
After installation was completed, the system was tested, and all parameters confirmed its effectiveness and reliability. Raymer DHWP 300L indirect heating tank will provide a stable and efficient supply of hot water, increasing comfort and ease of use.
6. Installing additional system components
This heat pump will operate in heating and hot water mode, therefore, here you definitely need to take care of switching between operating modes of the VT, which is only possible when installing a three-way valve, which actually performs the function of a switch between operating modes.
Raymer 3-way valve 325 TW, in its turn, is responsible for automatically switching coolant flows between different systems – heating and hot water supply. This allows you to optimize system operation and reduce energy costs, because the valve automatically regulates the coolant supply depending on the need. Its robust design ensures long service life and trouble-free operation.
We also took care of efficient water circulation in the system thanks to the circulation pump, to provide heat to even the most remote corners of the house.
Circulation pump ensures continuous movement of coolant in the system, maintaining uniform heat distribution throughout all rooms. It is specially installed to optimize energy consumption and reduce energy costs.
