Task:
Owner of a private house 80 square meters in the village of Nerubayskoye, Odessa region, asked for advice on the benefits of installing a heat pump over other heating systems, because the task was to decide, what kind of heating system to install in the house.
The main goal was to reduce heating costs through the introduction of modern and economical solutions. Additionally, the house was equipped with a heated floor system, and it was necessary to decide which heating source to connect it to.
Answer:
To achieve this goal, it was decided to install a Raymer RAY heat pump-07MN, which has high efficiency and low operating costs, as well as buffer capacity, which will ensure long-term preservation of the high temperature of the coolant in the system.
To prevent the system from defrosting during possible blackouts or extended power outages, a solution of ethyl alcohol was added to the system. This provides additional security, because it avoids defrosting the monoblock and the heating system in extreme conditions.
Scope of work completed
1. Analysis of the existing system
At the initial stage, specialists conducted a detailed analysis of the existing heating system. It was determined, that the system includes underfloor heating, what will become the main source of heating in the rooms. The state of thermal insulation was also studied to assess the ergonomics of the house.
2. Equipment selection
Taking into account the data of the analysis, it was recommended to install a Raymer RAY heat pump-07MN, which meets the customer's requirements for economy and efficiency. The equipment was selected taking into account the technical characteristics and features of the house.
3. Heat pump installation
Heat pump Raymer RAY-07MN metal frame was installed (homemade) on anti-vibration feet, to reduce the noise level of the heat pump during operation and to reduce shock absorption from the adjacent surface.
4. Installing additional system components
The heating system requires the installation of additional tanks to maintain a stable temperature of the coolant in the system.
For correct operation of the heat pump in heating mode, cooling, it is recommended to install a storage tank, which performs the function of a mixer and in which dirt from the system settles, what affects its durability.
For this project, it was enough to establish storage tank Raymer 60 liters, based on calculations of the length of the heated floor route in the house.
Was also installed circulation pump Raymer RS-25/10-180 ensuring the circulation of the coolant in the system, as for heating, as well as cooling. Constantly moves coolant through the heat pump heat exchanger and throughout the system. This allows for even heat distribution (or cold) by premises, and also ensures efficient heat transfer to the heated floor, radiators or fan coils and hot water tank.
Together these components ensure efficient operation of the heating system, switching between modes and stable coolant circulation.
5. Connection to a heated floor comb
The heating system is compact and includes four combs for connecting underfloor heating, which are fully provided with heat from the heat pump monoblock. Since there is no backup heating source, All heating functions are performed exclusively by the heat pump, ensuring stable and efficient operation of the heating system in the house.
6. Installing a controller to monitor system performance
Installing a controller to monitor heating system performance is an important step, allowing to optimize its operation and provide comfortable conditions. The controller provides:
Temperature monitoring: Measures indoor and outdoor temperatures, which allows you to regulate the heating.
Mode management: Allows you to configure different operating modes of the system, such as automatic, energy saving or comfortable.
Data visualization: Shows system metrics on screen, which makes them easy to understand.
Performance Analysis: Collects energy consumption data, which helps identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
Problem Alert: Automatically informs about any problems in the system, which allows timely action to be taken.
Thus, installing a controller not only increases the efficiency of the heating system, but also ensures its reliability and ease of use.
Why is a solution of ethyl alcohol poured into the heating system??
Ethyl alcohol solution is used in heat pump systems as a coolant in the following cases:
Frost protection: Ethyl alcohol reduces the temperature of freezing fluid in the system. This is important to prevent ice from forming in the external circuit of the heat pump., especially in cold climates. Thanks to this, the system can operate even at low temperatures without the risk of freezing and damage to the pipelines.
Improved Heat Transfer: A solution of ethyl alcohol has good thermal conductive properties, which contributes to more efficient heat transfer between the coolant and system equipment (evaporator and condenser).
Safety and environmental friendliness: Unlike some other antifreeze, ethyl alcohol is less toxic and environmentally friendly.
Corrosion Prevention: Ethyl alcohol in the solution helps reduce the risk of corrosion of the internal parts of the system, extending equipment life.
Thus, the use of ethyl alcohol solution allows the heat pump system to operate effectively in low temperature conditions, ensuring system stability and reliability.
