Thanks to an accelerated economic recovery and prolonged high temperatures, demand for electricity in China's Guangdong province continues to rise. In particular, demand in the processing industry is high and, as expected, will grow even more in the next fourth quarter. According to official statistics, from January to April, electricity consumption in the manufacturing industry of Guangdong Province increased by 32,2% on an annual basis. RAYMER is one such manufacturer, which has a rapid growth of business in this and last seasons and will have a growing demand for electricity.
Since the end of April, Guangdong province has been experiencing constant high temperatures. An amazingly high temperature of up to 35°C was recorded, which is 4°C higher, than for the same period last year. In terms of “barbecue” in hot weather, the demand for electricity becomes very high. Currently, the highest electricity load in Guangdong Province has exceeded the load for the whole 2020 year.
Since March of this year, the volume of orders for RAYMER heat pumps has increased very quickly, the production schedule on all production lines in May and June was fully occupied, the RAYMER plant operates at maximum capacity.
“Production in our workshop is based on sophisticated highly automated equipment, which cannot be replaced by human labor, therefore in the future, if demand for electricity in Guangdong continues to grow and when demand exceeds supply, we may face the risk of higher electricity prices and shortages in electricity supply. We must be ready for that, how this risk can happen. ” – said Peter, director of RAYMER's foreign business.
Change the production strategy
The RAYMER production workshop has developed a regime of day and night shifts, to avoid peak loads and increase production efficiency. in addition, the vacation regime of office workers was also adjusted from a two-day break to a one-day break, to fully cooperate with the production.
Purchase of equipment for the production of electricity
To proactively respond to the increasing demand for electricity in Guangdong Province and avoid the risk of electricity shortages, RAYMER purchased 320 solar panels with a capacity of up to 400 W each, which can provide total power 128 kW. These solar panels can be connected to the energy-saving heat pump system at the RAYMER headquarters and provide electricity for the cold storage, heating heat pumps and fan coils, accessories for floor heating, management systems, lighting, televisions and other appliances. The use of solar energy not only allows you to reduce electricity consumption, but also corresponds to RAYMER's vision of contributing to environmental protection.
