Task:
The client requested the installation of a heat pump for heating a residential building in 150 sq.m.
The main goal for the client was to reduce heating costs, since it was previously calculated, that installing a gas or electric boiler will be more expensive in terms of utility costs.
Answer:
To solve this problem, it was decided to install a Raymer RAY-15MN monoblock, which has high efficiency and low operating costs.
To ensure stable operation of the system, a storage tank was also installed on 60 л Raymer IMP60, circulation pump KOER.
An Elex stabilizer was also installed to protect equipment from voltage surges.
It is important to note, that according to the engineer's recommendation, an alcohol solution was poured into the system from the street side (35-40% no more).
Thermal insulation was used for pipes, connections to the heat pump, to avoid heat loss. It was also possible to install an intermediate extended heat exchanger to protect the system from thawing and liquid separation (alcohol solution/purified water).
Scope of work completed
The process of installing a Raymer RAY-15MN heat pump in a private house in the city of Netishin, consisted of several stages, each of which was thought out in detail and carefully executed. Here is a more detailed description of the work performed:
1. Analysis of the thermal features of the house.
At the stage of calculation and selection of heating equipment for a given house, we took into account, that the house is very well insulated from the outside with thick mineral wool 10 cm, which has a good thermal effect in winter and a high cooling efficiency in summer.
2. Selection of equipment taking into account the climatic conditions of the area
Considering, that the climate in this area has become somewhat milder in recent decades, but from time to time the temperature can still reach down to -20°C, it was decided to install a Raymer RAY-15MN monoblock heat pump.
3. Outdoor unit installation
The outdoor heat pump unit was installed on a secure foundation, which provides stability and protection from environmental influences. The location of the outdoor unit has been taken into account to ensure optimal performance and ease of maintenance.
4. Installing additional system components
Any heating system requires the installation of additional tanks to maintain a stable temperature of the coolant in the system.
For this project it was enough to install a Raymer IMPOSOL storage tank 60 liters, since hot water supply is still provided by a separately installed boiler.
In the future it is planned to install an indirect heating tank on 200 l to provide hot water supply through a heat pump.
An expansion tank is installed to receive excess water, occurring during thermal expansion of a liquid due to heating.
5. Connecting a voltage stabilizer
To ensure safe and reliable operation of the heat pump, an Elex voltage stabilizer was installed. This device protects the system from power surges and other possible power supply problems..
In case of possible blackouts during certain periods of the year, a voltage stabilizer is required in heating systems, powered by generator or batteries.
6. Installation of a soldered heat exchanger with insulation
So, how this system works using an alcohol solution as a coolant from the street and water inside the house, it was decided to install an additional expanded Raymer B3-050-40 brazed heat exchanger on 2,5 m.kv for the distribution of liquids in the system.
Brazed heat exchanger ensures efficient heat transfer, and insulation allows you to maintain a stable temperature in the working environment. This ensures optimal functioning of the heat pump even under extreme external conditions.
Thermal insulation helps reduce heat loss during transfer between different media (refrigerant and water). This improves overall system efficiency, because more heat is transferred there, where it is needed, rather than being lost into the environment.
Thermal insulation also helps prevent condensation on the surface of the heat exchanger (HP operation in cooling mode), which is important to prevent corrosion and other damage, which may affect the longevity of the equipment.
7. Testing and setting up the system
After completion of installation, a thorough check of the entire system was carried out. Experts tested the operation of the heat pump in various modes, configured settings for optimal performance and ensured all components are connected and functioning correctly.
8. Instruct the client
After completing all the work, the specialists provided detailed instructions to the client on the use and maintenance of the heat pump. The client received all the necessary knowledge to effectively use the new heating system and save on energy costs.
